• Integrated Pest Management
• Entomopathogenic Fungi (Metarhizium spp, Beauveria bassiana, Acremonium strictum)
• Management of Fungus gnats (Bradysia spp)
The aim of my research is to assess the interaction mechanisms between the pest species (Fungus gnats) and entomopathogenic fungi. Therefore, there are several aspects to be focused on the operative mechanism(s) of endophytic entomopathogenic fungi after ingestion by larvae of fungus gnat. Additionally, molecular techniques will be applied to study the underlying interaction occurring between the endophytic entomopathogenic fungi and the fungus gnat.
